We're excited to announce that Beach Elementary School has earned LEED Silver certification with a score of 52 points from the US Green Building Council!
Key sustainability features include:
- Ample outdoor recreation space for student interaction with nature
- A walkable location near a library, public beach, and supermarket
- 36% energy cost savings
- Dedicated recycling collections in classrooms to divert landfill waste
- Acoustical design for better communication between students and staff
- Focus on clean air to promote a healthy environment and student well-being
Kudos to the team for creating an eco-friendly and student-centered learning space and special recognition to our LEED Consultant, Lorax Partnerships, for their expertise and support throughout the process.
